Founding team
Talk to usMauricio Vergara
Co-founder & CEO of Kapwork
"We wanted to build something that puts the power back in the hands of small businesses. The idea that you have to wait months for money you've already earned? That's unacceptable."
Mauricio leads operations, sales, and marketing. As a former SMB owner, he saw first-hand the impact that late payments puts on your business and later, across roles at Google and Unity, he witnessed the impact late payments had for Creators, hampering their ability to grow their businesses. He began to explore ways to help, and discovered how limited the current offerings are for funders—and how tough it is for small companies.
Pete Thomas
Co-founder & CTO of Kapwork
"Kapwork is about creating a faster, smarter way for businesses to turn their invoices into cash without losing time or having to go through a crazy process to sell their invoices. Technology makes this possible, and that's what we're excited about."
Peter oversees engineering and product development for the platform. Previously, Pete co-founded financial services unicorn C2FO, where he refined financial technologies helping businesses get paid earlier. It was here he saw how small companies, especially those in supply chains of larger firms, suffer while waiting for payments.
Trust
Without trust from our business partners and invoice buyers we are nothing. Their trust is the most precious asset we could have and treat it like our most valuable possession.
