Resound Networks proposes to deploy a licensed fixed wireless broadband network in Ottawa County to deliver scalable, high-performance broadband service to 513 total locations, including 241 underserved residences, 140 unserved residences, and 132 Community Anchor Institutions. These NET(s) include areas impacted by limited copper plant upgrades, as well as Tribal communities, school zones, and residential enclaves that remain disconnected or underserved by existing wireline or mobile broadband options.\\n\\nThe network will be anchored by five leased vertical assets, each evaluated for RF performance, line-of-sight potential, and integration into existing backhaul routes. Sites have been selected based on their capacity to serve multiple NET(s) with minimal environmental disruption and high installation feasibility. Resound’s master agreements with national tower providers ensure additional vertical infrastructure can be rapidly deployed in areas where terrain or vegetation challenge standard propagation expectations.\\n\\nResound’s licensed fixed wireless platform will power the Ottawa County deployment. This system is proven in similar environments and supports symmetrical and asymmetrical service offerings ranging from BEAD-compliant 100/20 Mbps to full gigabit speeds. Network traffic is actively monitored and managed from Resound’s centralized NOC, with real-time analytics, fault resolution, and spectrum balancing tools to ensure consistent service availability.\\n\\nDeployment in Ottawa County will begin within 90 days of award issuance. Engineering and permitting will be initiated immediately, followed by tower staging and phased site activation. Rolling service turn-up will begin shortly after the first towers are validated. Priority will be given to Community Anchor Institutions—including public safety networks, Tribal schools, and healthcare centers—ensuring that broadband access strengthens essential services from the outset.\\n\\nThis project provides Ottawa County with a comprehensive broadband infrastructure upgrade, bringing long-overdue connectivity to households and institutions through a flexible, efficient fixed wireless solution engineered for rural coverage, speed, and resilience.\\n\\n
