Description supplied by the source

Building on the fiber network it has deployed past over 8 million residences and businesses in North Carolina and 24 other states, Frontier proposes to invest $19,952,796 to extend its XGS-PON Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in Graham County to make Frontier’s premier symmetrical fiber service tiers, currently ranging from 200 Mbps to 7 Gbps, and other value-added services available to an additional 2,711 locations. Greater fiber connectivity in the County will help boost economic development and enhance access to remote work, education, and telehealth services for community residents. XGS-PON FTTP is described as “future-proof” because of its high-capacity bandwidth, scalability, and readiness for evolution. Frontier’s XGS-PON FTTP network will provide Graham County access to the blazing fast fiber that supports both its current and future connectivity needs.

Limitations and interpretation

  • An award is a research signal. The award holder decides its own bids and subcontracts. Confirm project status and vendor needs with them.

“Not reported” means missing information, not zero. Completed and withdrawn records can remain available as historical records.
