Description supplied by the source

Cross seeks $4,597,186 in BEAD funding to deploy a new fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) broadband network across two underserved counties in rural Oklahoma—Choctaw tribal territories. The project will involve the construction of approximately 48.59 miles of new fiber infrastructure, bringing high-speed, reliable, and affordable broadband to approximately 921 locations.\\n\\nCurrently, these un/unserved communities are only served by outdated copper facilities that cannot support modern broadband needs. Due to the high cost of deploying fiber in sparsely populated rural areas, these upgrades would not be financially feasible in the near term without federal support. BEAD funding would allow us to accelerate the buildout and deliver gigabit-capable service and voice options to unserved and underserved residents far sooner than otherwise possible.\\n\\nCross is an experienced network operator with established middle-mile infrastructure, transport ring connectivity, customer service and billing systems, and long-standing vendor relationships. These assets position us to deploy, operate, and sustain a high-quality FTTP network that supports economic development, education, healthcare, and quality of life across these rural Oklahoma communities.

Limitations and interpretation

  • An award is a research signal. The award holder decides its own bids and subcontracts. Confirm project status and vendor needs with them.

“Not reported” means missing information, not zero. Completed and withdrawn records can remain available as historical records.
