This project is part of AtLink’s set of BEAD applications consisting of both fiber and licensed fixed-wireless buildouts. AtLink is Oklahoma’s largest fixed wireless provider and also operates an existing fiber network. With 20 years experience, the AtLink team is ready and able to successfully implement BEAD network build outs in an efficient manner to provide high-speed, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved locations in Oklahoma. \\n\\nThis project will utilize fixed wireless as the last mile connectivity solution. Last mile connectivity for fixed wireless locations will be delivered by best-in-class Tarana G1 ngFWA platform capable of delivering up to 800 Mbps service with latency below 100 ms. Tarana’s G1 platform is designed specifically to ensure robust connectivity and capacity even in noisy wireless environments by leveraging active beamforming, null-forming and burst interference cancellation technologies at both ends of the link in licensed-by-rule CBRS (3.5Ghz) spectrum and unlicensed spectrum in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. These characteristics address the technical and operational constraints that hindered unlicensed fixed wireless (ULFW) networks as a class in the past and is in fact the model for the mitigation strategies set forth in Appendix A of NTIA’s June 6, 2025, Restructuring Policy Notice. \\n\\nVertical assets in this network will be serviced by XGS-PON (10-Gigabit Symmetrical Passive Optical Network) technology. This architecture inherently supports scalability by allowing significant capacity upgrades without requiring extensive physical infrastructure changes, including upgrades to 50G-PON if necessary. In addition, AtLinkt will utilize licensed microwave radio backhaul if fiber is unavailable or infeasible to deploy, and as backup backhaul where necessary. Wireless backhaul will primarily utilize E band radios capable of speeds of up to 20 Gbps per radio, and the ability to attach multiple radios at the same location to increase capacity in the future as needed.\\n\\nAtLink will offer broadband internet services at competitive prices, with typical speeds ranging from 100 Mbps down / 20 Mbps up for the low-cost broadband service option up to 400 Mbps down / 100 Mbps up for AtLink’s current highest tier, with the ability to offer up to 500 Mbps symmetrical service.  \\n\\nThis proposal will deliver service to 100% of the unserved and underserved locations and CAIs. AtLink also will deploy private capital to serve “served” locations that are incidentally passed by the project network, bolstering the economics of the project. AtLink assumes a conservative take rate of 15% for unserved and underserved locations, and a take rate of 5% for “served” locations.  In addition, as described elsewhere in this application, AtLink will ensure 1 Gbps connectivity to CAIs with dedicated Tarana deployments, dedicated point-to-point microwave connections, or XGS-PON technology as needed.\\n\\nAtLink expects to be able to complete the project in less than 24 months, from the day a subrecipient agreement is signed to the day the project is closed out.  \\n\\nAtLink’s proposed project can easily scale speeds over time to meet the evolving connectivity needs of households and businesses and support the deployment of 5G, successor wireless technologies, and other advanced services.
